Here, decorative border becomes spiritual architecture. The figure cradles a sun-star within a frame of ornamental motifs borrowed from folk textiles and devotional prints. Julia flattens the image into an icon-like surface where protection is both external (the border as fortress) and internal (the radiant core). The rigid symmetry suggests control. Or the performance of it.
