Here, the human figure literally becomes architecture. Body and house merge into a single protective structure. Green growth sprouts organically from geometric forms, suggesting that grounding requires both foundation and flexibility. But there's a sharper edge beneath the playful surface: when home becomes body and body becomes home, we're looking at survival strategy as much as metaphor. Julia's pink background and carnival palette refuse despair, but they don't erase the stakes. This is shelter as act. Rooting yourself when displacement looms, growing flowers in a war zone. The painting proposes that staying can be its own form of resistance.
